The FTGCC Committee is very excited to announce our Junior Cricket Program Leadership Structure for season 2024/25. We thank every single person on this list for volunteering their time to ensure we have a high-quality Junior Cricket Program that creates a fun and family-oriented learning environment for all of our Junior players.

Junior Club Co-Ordinator: David Anstey.

David is our new Junior Club Co-Ordinator, however, he is certainly not new to the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club. David started his cricket involvement at Bluebirds Cricket Club, playing Junior and Senior Cricket and became part of the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club when the two clubs merged before the start of the 2005/06 cricket season. David has played in excess of 130 games for the FTGCC including 83 1st XI games. David is a FTGCC 1st XI Premiership player of 2008/09. David was our Veterans 1s team Captain for the last two seasons and last season was an Under 12s Assistant Coach. David’s children are involved in our Junior Cricketing Program. David has the same shared beliefs and values as the FTGCC towards our Junior Program and is keen to ensure our Junior Program continues to be fun for all Juniors, has involvement from the FTGCC Senior playing group and is a pathway that turns FTGCC Junior players into FTGCC Senior players just like the eight former FTGCC Junior players who played in the last two season’s FTGCC 1st XI premierships. David will now join our Ferntree Gully Cricket Club Committee.

Junior Coaches Coach: Dale Harris.

Dale will take up a new role in our club for season 2024/25 as our Junior Coaches Coach. Dale will act as resource and sounding board for all of our Junior Coaches to help them improve their coaching and thus the experience for all of our Junior cricketers. Dale has a vast cricketing knowledge having played and captained Senior cricket at Parkfield CC in the DDCA for many seasons before moving across to FTGCC to play Veterans cricket and take up a role as a Senior Assistant Coach. Last year Dale was also an Under 12s Assistant Coach. Dale’s children are currently part of our Junior Cricketing Program. Dale is a Committee Member of the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club.

Junior Administrator: Annabelle Hill.

Annabelle will fill the new role of Junior Administrator in season 2024/25 providing support to David and Dale in their roles. Annabelle did an awesome job last season as our Blasters Coordinator running a highly successful and fun program for our youngest cricketers, a role she will continue in this season also. Annabelle’s children love being part of our Junior Cricketing program. Annabelle is a Committee Member of the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club.

Further announcements will follow regarding our Junior Coaches for Under 18s, Under 16s, Under 14s, Under 12s, Fast 9s, Super 7s (Girls team and Boys team) and Blasters programs in the near future.
