The Ferntree Gully Cricket Club Committee is very excited to announce that Jack Hammond will be returning from the UK to play cricket at Ferntree Gully Cricket Club for season 2025/26.

Jack performed to a very high level with the gloves in our 1st XI last season taking 28 dismissals, winning the 1st XI NT Sanford Fielding Award and being named in the FTGCC Team of the Year as wicketkeeper. Jack also played a huge role as the wicketkeeper for the FTGDCA Country Week team that claimed the 2025 Melbourne Country Week title. Jack also played a few crucial innings with the bat against Knox Gardens and Lysterfield twice helping us win these matches.

Jack also successfully coached our Under 16 team to a washed-out Grand Final.

In season 2025/26, Jack will return as our Senior Fielding Coach, running sessions at Senior training on a Tuesday and Thursday night, as well as helping develop any club wicketkeepers who would like to improve their wicketkeeping skills. Jack will also take up a Coaching role in our Junior program.
