A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear all,

I would like to let you all know that recently I notified the committee of my decision to not seek re election as president for the 2026/27 season.

It has been an absolute honor and privilege to serve as the president of the Ferntree Gully Cricket Club for this past 4 years. As a person that never had desires to be president I for one am so glad that I did.

If you or someone you know could be a potential candidate, could you please let me know and I would only be too happy to talk about the role. If you personally have even the smallest thought of one day being president, I strongly suggest that you seriously consider it. It is an extremely rewarding thing to do and don’t be overawed by the idea of it.

Whoever takes on the position will have so many people to support them like I did. I as a past president will be there to support the incoming president and I fully intend to remain on the committee in whatever role the incoming president would like me to perform.

In closing I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the club for supporting me this past 4 years.
