NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Ferntree Gully Cricket Club Committee hereby advises that the Annual General Meeting will be held on 11th May 2016, at 7.30 pm in the Clubrooms at Wally Tew Reserve.
You are welcome to come a little earlier and socialise with other club members.

The Agenda for the meeting includes:

a. 1 year of term remaining: David Morrison,

c. Other nominations: from the floor or prior communication.

d. Retiring Committee Members:

The Committee also requires an Assistant Secretary, Assistant Treasurer, 2nd Vice President, Veterans Administrator as well as other general committee members.

8. General Business

As per the Constitution, non-financial members are ineligible to vote at the AGM.

New Business items must be submitted to the Secretary no later than Tuesday 27th April. Please go into our website and check out our constitution regarding the AGM and Officers’ Duties – Item nos. between 6 and 18.

It is vitally important that all members think about their involvement within the club. Each year the members vote in various people to stand on the committee. It is important that you look at your position to maybe putting your hand up to be a committee member. A full committee means that many do a little to help move the club forward. I would like to remind you that there are only six committee meetings during the cricket season and six during the off season. This equates to 2.5 hours per meeting and then a small amount of your time during the week attending to tasks that have been assigned to you. We are looking for people who are doers, that is, people who are prepared to take on small tasks either on their own or with others to achieve the cricket club’s goals.

This is your cricket club and it will only get better, if you are prepared to stand up and be counted for either the senior or junior committee.
